Rocket Rush has a grapple mechanic, confirmed by the official Hook Master badge. Its requirement is precise: chain five grapples in one run without touching the ground or a wall. Public sources do not state where the grapple is obtained, which button activates it, what can be targeted, how range is shown, or whether releasing early changes momentum.
Use the current game’s prompt and binding screen for the missing operation. Once the mechanic appears, build the chain one reliable link at a time instead of attempting five unknown attachments at full speed.
Read the Hook Master requirement carefully
The badge describes a chain of five grapples in one run. It explicitly names two failure contacts: ground and wall. It does not say that the five must be uninterrupted by time, that the same anchor can be reused, or that a particular world is required.
Do not add hidden rules after one failed attempt. A run may fail because an attachment did not register, a collision counted, the public server changed, or another condition exists. Reproduce the same setup before deciding what the rule is.
The word “chain” suggests that the game recognizes consecutive successful grapple actions, but the visual counter or feedback must be observed in the current build. The badge award is the final confirmation.
Find the live grapple control
Open Settings and look for a grapple action or use the prompt that appears when the system is introduced. Check both the action name and the current bound input. The public PC control list does not include grapple, and mobile or console buttons are not documented.
Before launching into a course, determine whether the game shows a valid target, range indicator, reticle change, line, cooldown, or sound. These cues tell you when an attempt can register. Record what you can actually see instead of assuming behavior from another grappling game.
If the mechanic is locked, follow the current game’s visible progression or tutorial prompt. No verified public source states an unlock world, currency cost, evolution tier, or menu path.
Practice one attachment
Choose an area where a missed grapple does not immediately force a ground or wall contact. Approach a single visible target at moderate speed. Activate the current grapple input once and watch the complete sequence: targeting, attachment, pull or swing, release, and resulting flight line.
Repeat the same attachment until you can predict where the rocket will be after release. The useful question is not merely “did it connect?” but “did it leave a stable line toward the next possible anchor?”
Avoid engine burn during the first repetitions unless the mechanic requires it. Extra speed can hide whether the error came from range, aim, timing, or release.
Build from two links to five
After one link is repeatable, identify the next anchor before activating the first grapple. Keep both the exit line and the ground/wall boundaries visible. Release or transition according to the live cue, then check whether the second action registered.
Practice two links until the transition is consistent, then add a third. A five-link attempt should be the result of a known sequence, not five desperate inputs. If the fourth anchor regularly forces a collision, redesign the line from the third attachment instead of changing the fifth.
Use a simple sequence card:
- Starting position and speed.
- First target and visible valid-range cue.
- Release point and direction toward target two.
- The point where ground or wall becomes the main risk.
- The final attachment and the feedback that confirms the chain.
Protect the chain from contact
Hook Master specifically forbids touching the ground or a wall. Leave more clearance than looks necessary while learning because camera perspective and rocket angle can make a near pass difficult to judge.
If a run fails near a surface, change one thing: earlier release, different target, lower speed, or camera view. Keep the rest of the chain unchanged so the result explains something. If the game has other collision types, do not assume they reset the chain until the live feedback shows it.
Fuel also matters even though the badge does not mention a threshold. A chain route that consumes the entire remaining run may be impractical. Learn the attachments first, then place them into a fuel plan from the Fuel and Afterburner Guide.
Troubleshoot a missing award
Confirm that five grapple actions actually attached and that all occurred in one run. Review any visible counter or sound. Check for a brief ground or wall touch during a transition, especially when the camera was focused on the next anchor.
Repeat on the same current server once. If the sequence remains clean, record the Place, platform, date, bindings, and visible feedback. Do not claim a specific secret condition from a single missing award.
Because Rocket Rush is beta, recheck Settings and prompts after an update. An old button or anchor route can become invalid even while the badge description stays the same.
Grapple FAQ
What button grapples?
No grapple binding appears in the checked public control list. Use the live prompt and Settings entry on your platform.
How do I unlock grapple?
The unlock method is not publicly documented. Follow the visible in-game progression and avoid claims from unrelated Rocket Rush games.
What surfaces work?
No official valid-surface list was found. Use the current targeting feedback and reproduce successful attachments.
What resets Hook Master?
The badge explicitly says ground or wall contact breaks the five-grapple condition. Other reset rules still require current in-game confirmation.
